Today my husband is in south Georgia on a hunt camp clean-up day, so I've decided to take this opportunity to ponder some things that I really love about him.
For one thing, he has a really good heart. He loves helping people and he's always willing and eager to put his own wants and needs behind those of his loved ones. He may be harsh at times, but that is just to cover up the soft and cuddliness inside. He loves his family so much that my mother told me in one of our last conversations that he was the best father she had ever known.
He's also a rock of dependability where it really counts. Oh, sure I complain because he often misjudges the time it will take to do things and so he ends up being late. But when he's really needed he'll be right there. I'll never forget the time that I drove to work on a near empty tank, and he came by and filled up my tank for me. Anytime I really need him he'll be there to help.
He doesn't see limitations. If someone tells him that something can't be done he just sees it as a challenge. I've joked that one of the reasons we've stayed married for so long is that so many people told us that it would never work out. People told him he couldn't build a house. People told him we couldn't live on 100% commission. People told him that he couldn't fix the sinking driveway at our old house. He proved them wrong.
I could go on and on, but I'm only gonna list one more thing. He knows how to have fun. When we first met we used to go bike riding through the streets of Atlanta. He bought the boys dirt bikes so that they could ride together. He just loves having fun with others, whether family or friends.
Why not join the adventure too and contribute your own post about your fabulous husband. You know you have one too!
