Neighbor Boy (NB): Don't worry, we're professionals!
Nicholas: Yea, we're experts at falling and not getting hurt.
This morning they drew a track in the driveway and street for scooter/bicycle racing.
Despite the heat, they're out there having fun. Bloody knees are kept to a minimum. And they're proud of their jumps.
They're even learning - or so they say.
NB: You know I just learned something.
Nicholas: Wh
at?
NB: When you ride a scooter, it's best to wear shoes!
I'm expecting to hear something like - because you won't hurt your feet. But no!
NB: Because that way you can get a better start!
After dinner we decided to get back out some more. As you can see from the picture above, they were pretty tired by then. But these kids aren't ones for letting that stop them.
Not this little guy who has been riding a bicycle without training wheels since before his 4th birthday.
And then, badmitton anyone?
Looks like even Dad got in on the game. I think I'll go find a quiet spot and rest for a while! This is what summer vacation is all about!
