Sunday was the day of our piano studio's annual fall recital, and it was especially momentous for us because for the first time we had two pianists performing.
Alex played Sonatina op. 55 #1 Vivace by Fredrich Kuhlau, and he did a fabulous job. Granted Lee is not a music expert, but he said he thought Alex was the best performer in the group of 13, and he awarded Alex a special prize afterwards.
Our cousin Craig, who is a music expert said the following of Alex's playing last weekend: "I am qualified to say that Alex plays with an authority and musical instinct rarely found in a thirteen year old boy."
Like all students of Suzuki piano, Andrew played a version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for his first recital. He chose Twinkle D, and played the right hand while his teacher played the left.
We all were especially happy to have Grandma and Grandpa Kenny in attendance, and we enjoyed chatting with them after the show.
