Most especially pray for Cyndi, wife and mother, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer which has metastasized to the brain. Chemotherapy is no longer working to shrink the cancer, thus it was discontinued. She will consult with a radiologist shortly.
The family recently visited Lourdes, France, where Cyndi and her 6 year old daughter who suffers from arthritis bathed in the waters praying for a miraculous cure. I was blessed to be able to accompany them and view first hand how prayerful and virtuous this family is, despite the pain and adversity.
This is the family, consisting of Mommy, Daddy, four daughters, two sons and grandma, before the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Next is Cyndi and her six-year-old daughter immediately following their baths in the waters of Lourdes. As you may be able to tell, the baths were very cold.
Next is the grotto where Our Lady appeared before St. Bernadette over 150 years ago to the day. How blessed we were to be there on the anniversary of several of the apparitions. The third apparition was February 18, 1858 at 6 a.m., and so several of us visited the grotto at 6 a.m. to pray the rosary.
Our Lady of Lourdes, pray that God will provide Cyndi with the healing she most needs.
Vicki, you are such a true friend to Cyndi and an inspiration to all those who have seen your caring and warmth.
