Last night I attended the first in a series of Lenten Reflections presentations by some very holy priests in our archdiocese. I took some very brief notes on my phone and e-mailed to myself later. As I read the message this morning, I was amazed that I was able to capture a tiny glimpse of the priests wise words.
Self knowledge
Contrition transformation through our sacrifices making reparation for our sins
We're not used to making sacrifices enough doing penances to change our lives
Pray for true contrition to seek penance to make reparation. That's the love we should have for God
Contrition provides beauty to the soul.
